In this book, 40 stories have been carefully selected from the Real China and Real People column China.org.cn. These stories have been organized into the following eight categories： Old Heroes, Joy and Sorrow, Village Teachers, Devoted Craftsmen, Dedicated Professionals, New Generations, In Pursuit of Dreams, and Never Too Old.
These stories illuminate the changes over time, reflect Chinas development, and highlight the Chinese Dream of ordinary Chinese people.

栏目拥有包括资深媒体摄影记者、专业摄影师以及中国网记者在内的优秀摄影师团队和编辑团队。
2016年该栏目获得了中华全国新闻工作者协会组织评选的第二十六届中国新闻奖一等奖。
