When Papa learns the cubs are going out for soccer, he''s
confounded.Whoever heard of a game where you can''t even pick up the
ball? Yes, Papa''s an old-fashioned bat-and-ball-and-mitt sort of
bear...until the cubs drag him kicking and screaming into the new
generation and teach him the singular pleasures of that
black-and-white ball. With their usual perceptive insights, the
Berenstains also deal with issues like team - work, practice, and
boys and girls playing together.
