UnderacontractwithanLCasitspaymentterm,theimporterisrequiredtoopentheLContime.Incaseitmaydelayforsomereasons,theexportershouldurgetheextension(n.延期)oftheLC.UponreceiptoftherelevantLC,theexporterthenmustcheckitagainstthesalescontractcarefullytoensurealltermsandconditionsintheLCareinstrictconformitywiththoseinthecontract.Ifsomediscrepancies(n.不符点)arefound,theexportershouldurgetheimportertoamendtheLCasquicklyaspossible.Thesellerwon''tmakeshipmentuntilhehasgotaneffective,completeandacceptableLC.''
·Gettinggoodsready货备
Iftheexporterissupposedtoproducethegoodsforshipment,thisstagemaytakeplacewellbeforetheexaminationoftheLC.However,iftheexporteristopurchasethegoodsforshipment,hewillnormallystartthepreparationofthegoodsafterorslightlybeforetheLCgetsready,dependingonthetimerequiredtopreparethegoodsandtheshippingschedulestipulatedinthecontract.Theexportershallpreparethegoodsinlinewiththename,quality,quantityandmarksrequiredinthecontract.Ifanycertificatesarerequired,theexporteralsohastogetthemreadyasstipulated.

Atthetimewhengoodsarebeingprepared,theexportershouldcontacttheshippingcompanyoritsagentstocharter(n.租用,租船)orbookshippingspace.Charteringisrequiredforgoodsoflargequantitywhichneedfullshipload,whileforgoodsinrelativelysmallquantity,bookingshippingspacewoulddo.
