budding author as
Debbie Yang. It is a special book.
I had the opportunity of meeting her on Tuesday evenings at Mike and Karen
Hales home during the year she spent in the USA, while her parents were
working as Visiting Scholars at the University of Delaware.I was very
grateful to have Debbie, her parents and 3 of her grandparents visit me in my
home.On that occasion she was a
skillful translator for her grandparents who only spoke Chinese. Debbie is a young lady with many talents. I
am amazed at her skills. I couldnt write a story in my own language when I
was 8 years old and here she is so gifted that she can write this story of
Larry and the Lost Star in a foreign language and illustrate it herself.She
is an amazing young lady and it is such a joy to write this introduction to
her book.
