崔述生,北京中医药大学,教授,主任医师。第四批北京百名名老中医,北京薪火传承"3 3"工程崔述生名老中医工作室领头人,中国医学气功协会常务理事兼副秘书长,全国劳动模范,北京政协委员。从事临床、教学40余年,擅长用推拿、点穴、拔罐、中药内服外用治疗各科疾病。出版著作8部,在国内发表论文数十篇,国家科研课题一项,省部级科研课题一项。Cui Shusheng, the professor of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, the chief physician of Beijing drum tower hospital of TCM. Besides, he is the fourth batch of the one hundred famous senior TCM doctors in Beijing., the executive director of the association of Chinese medical qigong and deputy secretary general, the leader of the Cui Shusheng famous senior TCM doctor studio of Beijing inheritance "3 3" Project, the National model worker, the member of Beijing CPPCC.Professor Cui Shusheng continued working on clinic and teaching for more than 40 years, good at using tuina, acupuncture, acu-point pressure, cupping therapy and herbs in treatment of various diseases. In recent years ,he was in charge of a national research subject and a provincial scientific research subject, complied and participated in 8 academic monographs, published dozens of academic articles.

Tuina therapy, as an important part of traditional Chinese medicine and has a long history. It plays an irreplaceable role in the prevention and treatment of many diseases and is diversifiedby various factions, and different characteristic. This book is a collection of Professor CuiShushengs manual techniques as well as notations of his experience through clinical practice.The book includes effective manipulations in clinical practice as much as possible foramateurs practitioners to apply efficiently.This book is divided into three parts:Basic Tuina Manipulations: This chapter introduces the commonly used basic tuina manipulations, including definition, mechanism of action, operating positions, methodsand attention points. Those tuina manipulations are widely used and applicable for most indications requiring tuina therapy.Tuina Manipulations Applied on Different Part of the Body: This chapter includes 11 sections which introduce the tuina manipulations used on 10 parts of the body and the technique of pediatrics. Each section includes the basic tuina manipulations, special tuina techniques and clinical application. The basic tuina manipulations are common manipulations used in treatment of most illnesses occurring in relevant part of the body in clinic. The manipulations explained in the first chapter are not repeated here. Special tuina techniques are those used for some illnesses occurring in relevant part of the body. Clinical application provides some cases treated by Professor Cui Shusheng, and his manual techniques on specified diseases are summarized. This part includes the manipulations mentioned above, thus no atlas is provided. Exercises for Manipulation Practice: This c hapter mainly introduces Eighteen Exercises for practice, Baduanjin Exercise on the bed, and Relaxing Exercise for the cultivation of the tuina practitioner.The diseases mentioned in the book involve traumatology diseases, orthopedic diseases, medical diseases, gynecological diseases, pediatric diseases, etc., thus it can be used clinically by medical working staff, used for both teaching and scientific research, and it can be consulted by amateurs as well.
