童孝华，原中央编译局中央文献翻译部资深翻译、博士后导师。长期承担翻译、审定、主持党和国家重要文献翻译项目。1986年以来，先后参与党和国家领导人重要著作、历届中国共产党全国代表大会主要文件、历届全国人民代表大会和中国人民政治协商会议全国委员会会议的主要文件、党和国家其他重要政治文献英文翻译与审定工作，参与《中国共产党简史》翻译审定工作。

At a ceremony marking the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on July 1， 2021， General Secretary Xi Jinping solemnly declared: We have completed a moderately prosperous society in all respects in China. Moderate prosperity is the ideal state of life that the Chinese nation has been pursuing since times antique. Since the very day of its founding， the Party has made seeking happiness for the Chinese people and rejuvenation for the Chinese nation its aspiration and mission. At the beginning of reform and opening up in the late 1970s， the Party Central Committee put forward the strategy of building a moderately prosperous society. Through the continued efforts of the whole Party and all the Chinese people， we have realized the first centenary goal of completing a moderately prosperous society in all respects. We are now marching in confident strides toward the second centenary goal of building China into a great modern socialist country in all respects.

The Third Plenary Session of the 11th CPC Central Committee is held. The Plenary Session makes the historic decision to shift the focus of the central task of the Party and the country to economic development and implement the reform and opening up policy， thus bringing about a great turn of far-reaching significance in the history of the Party since the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and starting the great journey of reform and opening up and socialist modernization.
