The book aims to cultivate students interest in professional basic theories and broaden their horizons, and gradually explains the basic theories and analysis methods of electromagnetic field and electromagnetic wave. The book is divided into eight chapters, which enhance the readability of the book through appropriate introduction of cases and reading materials. We use physical concepts to explain theoretical results and mathematical derivations to reduce the difficulty of learning the book. Through many examples and exercises, the knowledge points in the book are strengthened.
The book is a direct translation of our previously published books on electromagnetic fields and waves. In order to meet the demand for bilingual teaching and learning textbooks in English, the book is widely applicable and can be used as a professional textbook for undergraduate students majoring in science and engineering in universities. It can also be used as a reference book for engineering and technical personnel in the fields of electronic information engineering, electrical engineering, communication engineering and control science and engineering.
