A journey through hills and rills，a symphony of encounters.Since 2017，Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange has successively organizedeight editions of the ”My Beautiful Encounter with China”essay and shortvideo competitions for international students in China，receiving enthusiasticresponses from Chinese universities，educational sections of overseasembassies and consulates，and organizations of alumni who have studiedin China.The competition has received submissions from more than 1，000international students fromover 100 countries and regions.The outstandingworks have been compiled into seven volumes of the ”My Beautiful Encounterwith China”series and one selected works collection.
Like a blazing fire when gathering and night‘s shining stars whendispersing，some of these intemational students have settled in China aftergraduation，married，and had children，truly making China their”secondhomeland”;others have taken the knowledge and experience they learnedin China back to their homeland to serve the development of the word;stillothers are dedicated to promoting exchanges，interactions，and economic andtrade relations between the two countries，playing an increasingly importantrole as a bridge and bond.They are like the seeds of dandelions，sowing thephilosophy of ”harmony”，the wisdom of ”adaptability”，and the courage of”pioneering”in the folds of the world.They tell the story of their beautifulencounter with China in various languages.
聚是一团火，散是满天星。这些留学生有的毕业后扎根中国、结婚生子，让中国真正成为自己的“第二故乡”;有的将在中国学到的知识和经验带回祖国，服务世界的发展；有的致力于两国的交流、交往和经贸往来，发挥着越来越重要的桥梁和纽带作用。他们像蒲公英的种子，把“和”的哲学、“变”的智慧、“闯”的勇气，播撒在世界的褶皱里。他们用各种语言将与中国美丽邂逅的故事深情诉说。
在第八个邂逅之年，我们收到了来自80多个国家和地区上千名学生的征文投稿600余篇，短视频投稿500余件。本书集结了第八届“我与中国的美丽邂逅”征文大赛优秀作品共60篇，其中一等奖5篇，二等奖8篇，三等奖16篇，优秀奖31篇。这是青春的纪念册，更是一本答案之书。越南姑娘阮玄英在“大鹏一日同风起，扶摇直上九万里”中寻到人生向上的意义；韩国小伙金俊烨从“人法地，地法天，天法道，道法自然”中找到了沙漠成绿洲的密码；哈萨克斯坦的巴丽根为阿拉木图的洗星海大街探到
