《追寻诗道:中国诗歌本体论的发展历史》阐述从先秦到明清的中国古代诗道论及其发展历史,认为中国古代诗学由经典诗学与文人诗学两部分构成。文人诗学是文人在具体的诗史中实践经典诗学的历史。经典诗学发生于古代政教体系中,但深刻地揭示了人类诗歌艺术的规律。言志是经典诗学的核心概念,也是后来文人诗歌创作的基本崇尚。从文人诗歌史的具体实践来看,中国古代抒情诗学的轴心在“吟咏情性”之说,其成就则主要体现在“变风”“变雅”的创作上。中国古代在艺术上有独特追求的诗人,总是在自觉的诗歌本体观念下展开其创作实践的。中国古代诗人在言志、情性、性灵这样几种基本诗歌本体观念的启发与引导下,展开了漫长的诗道探索历史。诗歌史即诗学史,中国古代诗学发展的基本形态是理论与实践的紧密结合。

钱志熙,北京大学中文系教授,长江学者特聘教授。北京大学古代文体研究中心主任,中文系古典学平台负责人。中国李白研究会会长,中华诗词学会副会长。从事中国古代诗歌史及其相关文化背景的研究。出版《魏晋诗歌艺术原论》《唐前生命观和文学生命主题》《汉魏乐府艺术研究》《陶渊明传》《陶渊明经纬》等专著十余种,发表论文二百余篇。
