Since the first edition of the book was published in 2005, it has become a piece of unique academic work in the field with its innovative contents, wide practical use, and featured bilingual education. It received great support and was widely accepted by readers. The book was awarded the First Prize of Excellent Textbook of Shenzhen University. In 2008, it was selected as one of China’s National “Eleventh FiveYear Plan” Textbooks for Regular Higher Education. The third edition of this book was included in the “Thirteenth FiveYear Plan”National Key Publication Publishing Planning ProjectModern Mechanical Engineering Series of Excellent Textbooks.This revision is based on the Basic Requirements for Teaching Engineering Graphics Courses in Higher Edecation revised by the National Advisory Committee on Teaching Engineering Graphics Courses in Higher Edecation under the Ministry of Education in 2019, and the national standards on Technical Drawing and Mechanical Drawing which have been updated since the publication of the third edition of this book. We have revised the title of Chapter 7 of the 3rd edition to standard parts and commonly used parts, modified or supplemented the relevant content in accordance with the current national standards, and corrected some errors in the book.
